Your Views Needed - Proposed cycle path and landscaping for TP26 Linear Park, Sunbury1.00.00am GMT Wed 28th Jan 2009
Spelthorne Council is seeking residents' views on plans for a cycle path along TP26 'Linear Park' in Sunbury. (TP26 is Surrey County Council's reference number for the stretch of protected urban open space through Lower Sunbury that was once upon a time intended as a relief road.) Earlier this month, after many years of negotiation, Surrey and Spelthorne Councils finally agreed to transfer TP26 from Surrey to Spelthorne, along with a budget for laying a cycle path. The link below contains a map of the cycle route as originally proposed by Surrey County Council which Spelthorne is considering adopting. Spelthorne Council will be writing to residents whose homes overlook TP26. Plans for the proposed cycle path and some modest landscaping will also be on display in the Walled Garden from the 3rd to the 8th of February, with forms available for your comments. Spelthorne staff will be in attendance on Saturday 7th February to hear your views on the proposed route and visual impact of the path, possible materials to be used and any landscaping (budgets permitting). Comments on the proposal can also be emailed to environment.services@spelthorne.gov.uk Spelthorne Council wants to start work on the cycle path before the end of March, so there is only a very short time to make your views known. This is such a vital piece of Green Space for our community that every view is important. TP26 Cycle Path Consultation Exhibition Dates - Tuesday 3rd to Sunday 8th February inclusive Location - The Sunbury Embroidery Gallery in The Walled Garden, Sunbury-on-Thames. Open 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM Council staff in attendance - Saturday 7th February 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM Related Links:Map of the proposed TP26 cycle route Spelthorne Council website notice of consultation
