Fire Double Whammy

The cuts being forced on councils all over the country as the government tries to deal with Labour's bankrupting the country have hit people in Stanwell with the local fire station being closed at night. Well now A2D are building houses where the access may be too narrow for a Fire Engine to get down in an emergerncy - meaning hoses would have to run to a fire manually.

For local campaigners Andrew McLuskey and Fares Georges the situation is beyond belief. "No one seems to care about Stanwell" said an angry Andrew McLuskey.
