Gaza - Lib Dem MP speaks for us all - Spelthorne Liberal Democrats

The horrifying conflict in Israel and Gaza has been top of the agenda in Westminster since Hamas’ appalling terrorist attack on 7th October.

Layla Moran (MP for Oxford West and Abingdon) is the first British-Palestinian MP and has immediate family in the West Bank and extended family in Gaza, giving her a powerful voice on this subject. Layla spoke about standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the Jewish community, sharing a common grief, and seeking consensus:

I am on the side of basic humanity.

I am on the side of consensus.

I am on the side of the Israeli community, the Palestinian community, of the Jewish, Muslim and Christian communities.
