Just when you think it has gone quiet on building on the green belt at Kempton Park we get the news that Redrow are not only planning to build 1,500 houses on Jockey Club land but want to purchase the whole site with a view to building 3,000 new homes.

They plan to get special permission to build a monstrous new development to include a school and health centre and change the layout of the road to compensate. Is no-one listening to the local residents as this part of Sunbury already suffers from the highest pollution in Surrey brought about by the constant heavy traffic and frequent bottle neck jams which cause roads to become grid locked!

We know that people have to be housed but why this site when Sunbury is already suffering from too much development and with a third runway at Heathrow we will just be another extension to the sprawl of London.

The Tories say they are against this plan but are they up to the fight only time will tell?
